for my birthday, joel and the boys surprised me with a trip to the mountains. we ate at a restaurant with a beautiful view...
we put the camera on the hood of the van and were surprised that this picture came out so well!
then we went to the park in blowing rock.

i had a great birthday!! the next night joel and i got to go to dinner with our sweet friends. and later, i got to have breakfast with my friend debbie. it was a nice birthday week! (isn't that how i should do it stacey? celebrate my birthday week? :) )

I love the pictures! Lane's haircut looks so good on him. He seems much older now - he is, he's 3 - ha. I can even tell in the pictures that he's maturing - lots of smiles and not shy about the pictures now, it seems. You all look so good, and it's fun watching you guys have so much fun! In all your new "blogs" of the B'days etc. Miss you all.
most definitely. birthday weeks are a must! birthday months are also acceptable ways to celebrate :)
