another birthday

so, d had a birthday last week.  it is so hard for me to believe that he is seven!  that doesn't seem possible.  we had a big lego star wars birthday party planned, and he woke up that morning with bright red cheeks and a speckly rash on his neck and arms.  long story short, party cancelled.  we tried to make the day fun for him, and i think our kiddos had a great day.  here are some pics...

lately this is the face that i get when i ask for a smile.

three (or four- it depends on who you are asking)

so ellen is three!  (she has been saying that she is four.)  we had a princess/hello kitty party.  fun was had by all.

she caught two fish. (the size also depends on who you are asking. 3 inches must seem bigger to a three year old.)

 we are so thankful for our sweet girl!  she has the uncanny ability to find lost shoes (or anything lost, really), she is a willing helper, she makes the funniest faces, she loves sunday school with mrs. julie, and she loves her brothers very much. i'm so excited to watch her grow up and get to enjoy her along the way!

fun flowery day

our family (deedee included) got to go to the daniel stowe botanical garden outside of charlotte.  it was beautiful!!  we had such a great day.
